Brother-in-law John and I had a great hike on Friday, July 21, 2006. Starting at the Big Meadows area in Sequoia National Park we hiked 12 miles (round trip) rising above 9000 feet. Our destination was Jennie Lake, a pristine, high-Sierra granite lake. We had an added surprise -- a beautiful thunderstorm (or "funderstorm" as my three-year old calls them) right as we got to the lake! It was a cathedral of praise!
